MISSION AND SERVICES
- Provide professional mental health counselling and consultation services virtually.
- Incorporate a brief-therapeutic model directed at helping currently enrolled students succeed in the college environment.
- Assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for students with psychological concerns.
- Serving the students with love and respect regardless of the ethnic or cultural background, color, appearance, gender, nationality, ability or
disability, and religious beliefs. - Overall building an environment at PGC that is conducive to psychological and emotional health

All counselling records are kept strictly confidential and are not part of college records. Information is shared only with the student’s written permission.
Exceptions to confidentiality are rare.
All students registered at Punjab Group of Colleges are eligible for services.

When contacting counselling Services for the first time through campus coordinators, students can generally be seen the same day or within a day of making their appointment. Students coming in for their first visit will be seen for a brief (30 minutes) virtual appointment with the counselor who will:
- Provide information about what to expect from the counselling process
- Discuss the student’s presenting issues and concerns.
- Provide information regarding the mode of treatment that best suits the concerns.

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?
Telehealth is a secured videoconferencing method allowing doctors and clients to have sessions remotely to avoid unnecessary
doctor or urgent care visits.
The physician can diagnose, treat and prescribe medicines for routine medical issues.
WHEN SHOULD TELEHEALTH BE USED?
- When you need medical care and cannot get to a doctor.
- When you require immediate care for minor but urgent medical conditions.
- In case you need short time prescriptions.

You can request an online video consultation with a doctor through your campus coordinator in case you have any medical issue.
