Wazirabad is the Tehsil headquarter of District Gujranwala and was founded by Wazir Hakim in 1645 AD; the city is named after his name. It is located on the Grand Trunk Road on the banks of picturesque of Chenab river where Palkhu Nala stream made from melted snow of the Himalayas joins. Wazirabad is internationally famous for quality cutlery, surgical instruments, leather and sporting goods. The well-known agricultural cash crops of the area are wheat, rice and sugarcane.
The people of Wazirabad having industrial and agricultural background felt a dire need of an institution that could produce qualified graduates to uplift the flourishing local enterprises. There was not any institution to meet these locally emerging challenges. Keeping in view the above referred scenario, the management of Punjab Colleges, established a college at Wazirabad. The campus is located on Grand Trunk Road, Bypass and conveniently accessible not only to the students coming from the main town but also from the adjoining villages. The college building is spacious, purpose-built, air-conditioned and provides a congenial teaching-learning environment. There are fully-equipped Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer laboratories to strengthen the practical skills of the students.
