About PCS Sialkot
Sialkot, a center of manufacturing and exports, felt a dire need for an institution that could provide qualified graduates to join the rapid expanding enterprises. Unfortunately, there was no real institution of the kind that could come up to the mark of the growing challenges in the fields of Science and Technology. Keeping this aspect in view, the management of Punjab Group established its Science Campus in Sialkot. It is affiliated with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala for its ICS and F. Sc.
Programs and for B.Sc. with University of the Punjab. The campus is ideally located in an easily accessible area. It offers an optimum atmosphere for learning. All classrooms are air-conditioned and conveniently furnished. Students are facilitated for their practical examination in the most modern and well equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer labs. Highly skilled and qualified staff guides them and leads them to the top.
The college has an impressive library, which possesses a variety of textbooks, journals, and encyclopedias that provide a wealth of knowledge to the students. Moreover, as an institution designed for the new millennium, students are motivated to take part enthusiastically in sports and co-curricular activities such as Quiz programs, Debating contests and Dramatic Performances.
The educational programs are designed to preserve those values and experiences that enable students to develop and enrich their abilities for the future.
In academics this year, our student Kashif Ali Sarwer(F.Sc Pre-Medical) took 2nd position in Gujranwala Board.
The academic year 2009 – 10 was also another glorious year in the field of co-curricular activities especially in the literary field. The Literary Society of the College prepared students for Chief Ministers Speech Debate and Essay Writing competition. Twelve students from PCS Sialkot participated in this competition and all of them won prizes at District Level and five at Division level. Saliha Bajwa from FSc(Pre-Medical) and Mohammad Zeeshan from F.Sc (Pre-Medical) got 1st and 2nd positions in Urdu Essay Writing at Punjab Level.
Following the traditions of Punjab Colleges, PCS also arranges many recreational programs such as Welcome and Iftar Parties, Food Festivals, Debates Competitions, Quiz Competitions, Excursion Tours and Farewell Parties.
