About PCS Rahim Yar Khan

Punjab Colleges decided to respond to the increasing demands of educationists and the general public of this fast developing city of Southern Punjab. The absence of quality education in a suitable learning environment was felt by all in the area.

For the establishment of PCS Rahim Yar Khan, a spacious accommodation at Khanpur Road was selected. It is easily accessible from all areas of the city. The College Campus is purpose-built and its lush green lawns provide a serene sight. Students have the facility of beautifully furnished air-conditioned classrooms along with the most modern and fully-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Labs. A special Bio-museum has also been built to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the subject. The finest multimedia system is provided in classrooms. These facilities provide our students with an optimum learning atmosphere.

The College prides itself in having a beautiful mosque where Prayer is offered. The air-conditioned College library has a rich stock of research materials to aid students in their work, and a seminar room is specially designed for student-teacher discussions.

Annual sports competitions are staged regularly which provide opportunities to sportsmen in realizing their potential. Sportsmen of PCS have won many laurels and titles in Board and University competitions.

It's a matter of great pride that in the Annual Exams 2009 of BISE Bahawalpur, Sana Amjad topped in ICS/General Science Group (Girls)  and got the special Cash Prize of Rs.100,000/- from the Group. Iram Ibrahim stood third in Pre-engineering Group (Girls) in the Board.
