Punjab Colleges Okara
Okara is the capital city of Okara District in Punjab. The city is located south-west to the city of Lahore and is famous for its agricultural based economy and cotton mills. Okara marks the halfway point between Lahore and Multan. Realizing the need for quality institution in the city for Science and Commerce education, Punjab Colleges were established in the ideal location.
The College provides ideal opportunities for boys and girls separately to excel in a competitive environment. Our faculty is committed to infuse in each student a desire to learn, to take appropriate risks and to accept the challenges. The College community is committed to developing students who are resilient and adaptable and socially responsible adults.
Our campuses have the finest facilities for the students in terms of academics and co-curricular activities. They are taught in air-conditioned classrooms and trained in the most modern Computer and Science labs. They have also got the facility of well-stocked libraries with trained staff.
In a very short time, Punjab Colleges Okara have made their mark by securing 1st position in I.Com Annual Examinations 2011 and raised an alarm for competitors. Our students grabbed 27 positions in Chief Minister’s Debates and Essay Writing Competitions. They got 11 first, 11 second, and 5 third positions. In sports, our students won first positions in 100 Meter and 200 Meter Race in Inter-Collegiate Competition BISE Sahiwal.
Co-curricular activities go side by side with the rigorous academic schedules. In the outgoing year, a number of activities were arranged at the campuses which included welcome parties, mahafil-e-na’at, musical concerts, quiz programs, bonfire night, Iqbal Day, Quaid Day, annual sports and trips to Northern areas both for boys and girls separately.
