Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi
The origin of Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi can be traced back to 1988 with its highly distinctive academic innovations ad glorious educational achievements. This distinguished educational avenue had rapidly gained formidable eminence for its comprehensive and integrated approach to continually imparting professional education.
The facilities in all the campuses are unique. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with multimedia systems. Great importance is attached to academic discipline, intellectual growth and personality development. Students enjoy the facilities of the most modern and the well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer labs for their practical training. In the year 2013, Punjab College grabbed eight positions in the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Rawalpindi. Sheikh Hassan Tanvir got overall 1st position with 1015 marks. In Pre-Engineering Sheikh Hassan Tanvir, Ahmed Shaheer and Saad-ul-Hassan got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Positions respectively. In Pre-Medical Fahad Farooq Ashraf got 2nd position in BISE Rawalpindi with 1004 marks. In Commerce Group (Boys), Atif Abbasi  got 1st position while  Saad ullah and  Subtain Hashim Khan shared the 3rd position in BISE Rawalpindi.

Punjab College for Women was established in 2012. In the central location of Satellite Town Rawalpindi, Punjab College for Women provides a convenience to parents and students. PCW stands out of crowd by marking its stamps of success in both curricular and extracurricular activities. Our industrious students established unbeatable records in the fields of Medical, Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce and Sports. By the boundless bounty of Almighty Allah and great efforts of our teachers and the taught, eight (08) positions of BISE Rawalpindi were earned by the college in 2013. Not forgetting to mention the account of outstanding achievements of the years 2010, 2011 and 2012 when the college got the honor of 12, 08 and 12 positions respectively in Intermediate results of BISE Rawalpindi.

The College organized various events in the field of sports such as handball, volley ball, basketball, net ball, badminton, Table-tennis, hockey, lawn-tennis and athletics. Our players were able to grab success in Sports at the District Level with Loud Laurels. Our athletes and players embellished the college with numerous medals. Punjab College for Women proudly lifted the overall General Sports Trophy for the year 2013-14, while Sundas Abbasi student of FSc was declared the best athlete of the year.
Punjab College Rawalpindi gave tremendous performance in inter-collegiate sports and reached the Victory Stand with overall 1st position. Maintaining its own record Punjab College lifted the General Trophy for Sports of BISE Rawalpindi for the 14th consecutive year. Our student Syed Komail Abbas was declared the best athlete for the session 2013-14. 

The College Annual Sports Festival and Cultural Mela were celebrated with great passion and fervor this year.  Like academic achievements the sports festivities gained great attention of students and, the students came off with flying colors in various sports and cultural competitions. More than a hundred trophies and prizes were given to the winners and runners up.

Co-curricular activities are part and parcel of the students’ growth. During the current session, a number of activities were arranged like Welcome and Farewell Parties. Quiz Competitions, Annual Cultural & Sports days, Musical Concerts, Colour Days, Recreational Trips, Study Tours, Milad, Girls Gala and Cooking Competitions. These activities lessen the burden of strenuous routine. For the first time the students of Part-II enjoyed the Recreational tour to Lahore. The students visited the historical places and observed the Flag Downing Ceremony of Pakistan & India on the Wahgah Border.
The college holds different types of literary activities during the session such as Annual English Debate Competition, an event keenly awaited. It provides students an opportunity to analyze themselves, their society and its priorities under the influence of different topics.

Naat and Qirat competition has become a permanent feature of the co-curricular activities of the Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi. This year the competition was held at Rawalpindi Arts Council Hall in collaboration with Dunya Media Group.
Punjab College Cultural Society (PCCS) was established in 2013. The society aims at exploring the hidden talent and potential of students in various campuses. The group members of the society are committed to continually encourage cultural activities.

With the proven track of Punjab Colleges in producing thousands of professionals in Commerce, Business and IT, a landmark initiative was taken by the Punjab Group in launching M. Com and Associate Degree Programs in Fall 2012, affiliated with the University of Central Punjab, Lahore.

During the semester of M. Com and ADP, Seminars are organized on the most important topics in order to develop a critical and rational approach towards the trends in their areas of specialization among students. Keeping in view the significance of the practical knowledge of commerce, guest speakers from financial and educational sectors are invited to guide the students and help them acquire professional knowledge. The students of M. Com and ADP are also encouraged to use their knowledge in practical situation. In order to achieve this objective, the College conducts frequent visits to Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Industries. The knowledge of the practical field and the students’ exposure to the corporate sector is one of the distinct features of this program.


Peshawar Road Campus

Punjab College of Commerce, Rawalpindi Cantt has been catering to the educational needs of students of Cantonment area of Rawalpindi since 2004. It is located at Pehawar Road, Golra Mor, an area that serves as a junction between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. With a purpose-built premises, spacious classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories, the college offers courses in commerce and sciences in various combinations. Furthermore, it offers B.Com (IT) course in affiliation with University of the Punjab. Dedicated and professionally qualified members of faculty coupled with meticulous administrative staff are working ardently to enable students qualify their examinations with flying colors. Securing top 3 positions in annual examination FBSIE Commerce Group (2010), testifies the merits of the college. Our students demonstrated their worth in co-curricular activities as well. Currently, it holds the champions trophy inthe Annual Inter-Colleges Sports Competition2013-14 organized at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad. The college boasts distinctions in FBISE Annual Inter-colleges Naat and English Debate Competitions 2013-14. The college also offers Preparatory Classes for Entrance Examinations of various institutes such as UHS, NUST, UET. GIKI, FAST etc.
