Sheikhupura is an agricultural and industrial city of the Punjab and is situated slightly north-west of Lahore at a distance of about 45 Kilometers. The name of the city has been derived from the nickname of Emperor Jahangir, who was called as Sheikhu by his father Akbar the Great. Sheikhupura is not only an agricultural city but also has developed an industrial base. Major crops of this area are rice, wheat and sugarcane. There are a number of historical places in this city e.g. Sheikhupura Fort, Hiran Minar, Company Bagh, etc.

In this agricultural/ industrial and well populated city, quality education in a suitable learning environment was a dire need of the ambitious students and their motivated parents. Keeping in view the desires of students in particular and the public in general, Punjab College, Sheikhupura was established on Sargodha Road. The college campus is spacious, purpose built and air-conditioned. Students have the facility of modern and fully equipped, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer laboratories. In order to encourage knowledge-based learning, teaching in Mathematics and different disciplines of Science is supported by content-based three-dimensional animations.

The College library is well stocked with the latest collection. The teaching faculty is highly qualified, experienced and devoted for imparting quality education. The College is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore.
