Jaranwala is the Tehsil headquarter of district Faisalabad consist of 57 union councils, the biggest Tehsil headquarter in Pakistan. It is situated at a distance of 35 kilometers on south-west of Faisalabad and 25 kilometer from Nankana Sahib on its west. Jaranwala is about 400 years old city. Its economy is primarily based on agriculture and the major crops of the area are sugarcane, wheat and rice.
The non-availability of an institution imparting quality education in the discipline of Commerce and Science was big concern of the ambitious students and their motivated parents in Jaranwala. Consequently, the management of the Punjab Colleges established a college in a purpose-built campus. It is located on canal road and its approach is convenient not only for the students coming from different parts of the city but also for those coming from the adjoining villages. All class rooms are air-conditioned. Our Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Laboratories are adequately equipped. In order to encourage knowledge base learning, teaching in Mathematics and different disciplines of Science is supported by content-based three dimensional animations. The college faculty is highly qualified, experienced and devoted for imparting quality education to younger generation. Students’ attendance is monitored regularly. Parents are also taken on board about the performance of their children. Students Counseling Service offers support and guidance to the students when they are under stress and lose interests in their studies.
The College is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Faisalabad and Punjab University Lahore.
To give a break to students from their hectic academic routine, the college arranges for a number of activities. These extra-curricular activities include quiz programmes, mehfil Hamd-o Naat, debates, cultural festivals, trips to important and historical places, welcome and farewell parties and sports gala.
